Habe ich bisherigen Anfragen aus meinem Umfeld »Warum bist du nicht beim StudiVZ dabei?« immer nur antworten können, dass ich nicht sehe, was mir diese Anmeldung bringen sollte, hat mir der Blog-Eintrag von Tim doch endlich mal ein paar triftige Gründe liefern können:

Also von nun an gilt also folgendes: keine Daten an Datensammler (was ja ohnehin schon galt), die ihr System nicht auf die Reihe kriegen und nebenbei versuchen ihr angeschlagenes Image durch ein paar Lügen aufzubessern.

Auch bei Heise gibt's da eine hübsche Übersicht über das ach-so-tolle StudiVZ.

Right now, lots of things are changing for me.

• I'm almost done with my »Vordiplom«
• I got a new bank account (and the bank consultant told me I still have my »Sparbuch« with 27 EUR, jippie, I'm rich)
• there are lots of other things that change around me

Also, ich war ja echt skeptisch, was nun diese 50 Euro extra sollten. 50 Euro zahlen, damit die weniger zu tun haben, naja, "kann man nichts machen" dachte ich und überweise den Kram dann mal letzten Donnerstag.

Aber den echten "Wow"-Effekt hatte ich dann Mittwoch: die Jungs (Bank, Haspa, der neue Verwaltungsapparat) haben tatsächlich nur 5 Werktage gebraucht um den ganzen Kram zu erledigen. Ob das jetzt 50 Euro wert ist oder nicht: besser als vorher ist es alle mal.

Wow, David and I finally got our asses up to start hacking seriously on our little game project for the university. Although today was mostly wasted by getting eclipse installed on shaun (my desktop barebone system) and getting Java 1.4 installed on gromit (Apple Powerbook) which was quite hard until I found Java 1.4 compiled for PPC by IBM (someone should tell them that "pSeries" is not very helpful for non IBM customers).

Work & University

Hey, been to work the first time for almost 3 weeks now. Now it's back to JSP and Java coding (I think I will miss the C/C++ Linux development).

Have been happy that I hadn't attended our company's party yesterday, our graphic guys were just doing lots of useless editing of photos just to enjoy us developers and testers.

I still need to to lots hacking for our university project. Hopefully I will find time this weekend (I guess it would be better for me if I didn't hack on criawips too long).

GNOME & Criawips

Didn't have much time today to work on these areas, finally I got registered for the aKademy (KDE conference 2004 nearby Stuttgart) today.

Real Life

Slept very long, missed the C# and .NET intruduction at the university; wento to work, went home, planning to spend a nice evening in the bar of our students dormitory.
