So, let's see if this works out properly…

I have been planning to do this for quite some time now. But it's done: Gnome Tablet Tools Website.

I'm planning to finish the debugger (see yesterday's post), then get the feed reader working and ported to Maemo 2.0. And then I'm going to finish the handwriting stuff (I hope to have this ready for GUADEC) to have something that people can use to make Gnome rock the TabletPC world.

I finally finished importing my old blog entries from blogs.gnome.org. But it looks like the quick-import didn't work as well as I expected. I think I'm going to check the imported entries at the weekend. For now, it's time to add tagging to the blog (and to get rid of the categories).

Nach dem Stress, dem die EURid-Server am Freitag ausgesetzt waren und die Whois-Abfrage mittlerweile auch über den Webserver möglich ist, konnte ich zu meiner Zufriedenheit feststellen, dass ich alle erhofften Domains bekommen konnte. Ich bin jetzt stolzer Besitzer von herzi.eu und adeal.eu.

Wanted:

Blog-Software mit folgenden Fähigkeiten:

• Tagging für Einträge
• Spam-Protection
• RSS-Feeds
• Templates
• Mehrere Sprachen pro Eintrag (so dass man einen Eintrag in mehreren Sprachen schreiben kann) — wenn ich das als Plugin schreiben muss, wär's mir auch recht
• Sollte sich gut in eine bestehende Webseite integrieren lassen

Lars: you should really avoid using PHP arrays, just take the step, increase the dependency of PHP to 5.0.x and enjoy objects (which are a LOT saver to use than arrays - imagine you want to change an attribute name and you had to try to replace all array indices by the correct ones). If you don't want to, you should at least define some constant as the idices so there's just one place to replace such things.

Murray, Jeff, please update my hackergotchies to a scaled version of this one as it shows the hair color that I have since early June.
